LANARK HIGHLANDS LITTLE LEAGUE CHILD PROTECTION POLICY

Our Little League is committed to the safety and well-being of all participants.  

We will provide opportunities for our volunteers to complete mandatory training and continued education through Little League Internationals -  Little league Abuse Awareness Training. This is found on the Little League University website for completion.

Lanark Highlands Little League adopts the Little League Child Protection Program and will adhere to:

  1. Complete Background Checks for our volunteers

  2. Mandatory training and continuing education -Little League Abuse Awareness Training.

  3. Mandatory Reporting Requirements – Report Child Abuse, including sexual abuse involving a minor, to the proper authorities within 24 hours.

  4. Non-retaliation for reporting – we state our policy  prohibits retaliation against “good faith” reports of child abuse

  5. Prohibit one-on-one interactions – we state our policy that limits one-on-one contact with minors without being in an observable and interruptible distance from another adult.
